In Winter 2019, Henry Madd was approached by frequent collaborators The Marlowe Theatre. The Marlowe asked Henry to coordinate and produce a poetic response to the history of their sister venue The Kit.
This involved several months of research, delving into the rich history of the venue which happens to be one of Canterbury's oldest buildings, predating even the cathedral.
Following the research phase, a call out was released to recruit local poets to write responses to celebrate and critique different aspects of The Kit's heritage. 10 unique poems were produced and then filmed inside the venue itself. The films were released as part of a wider open day drawing attention to this important building and The Marlowe's plans for it's future.
